Fitness that’s ‘Strictly’ Fun!
The 14th series of Strictly Come Dancing’ has arrived on our TV screens and is in class right now.
We run local ‘Strictly’ style fitness classes based on the ballroom and latin dance steps in true ‘Strictly’ style.
I was trained by two of the professional dancers from the show – Ian Waite and Natalie Lowe – who together with Olympic swimmer Mark Foster are the creators of the ballroom style fitness programme known as FitSteps.
I introduced FitSteps into my class timetable in 2013, members absolutely loved it but some found it a little too challenging. Fitsteps FAB has changed all that with lower impact dances that are easier to follow such as the Bossa Nova and Swing Jive.
We still Cha Cha Cha in Chigwell and Waltz in Woodford and it’s great fun.
The music is fabulous and everyone leaves with a smile on their face. It’s a fantastic workout for all ages and you don’t have to be a dancer to enjoy a real dance experience, even if you have two left feet!
